Kim Freetly is the president and founder of BodySmart, located in Ventura, Calif. She is board certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), one of only a handful of local massage therapists to have met this board’s rigorous standards. She is licensed in California and Florida by the Florida Board of Medical Quality Assurance, and is an instructor of sports massage at the Massage Center in Thousand Oaks, Calif. She opened her first practice, Massage for Peak Performance, in 2006, specializing in addressing and preventing sports injuries in athletes competing in a wide range of sports at recreational, competitive, Olympic and professional levels. She has received hundreds of referrals from local physicians for her work in myo-fascial pain management.
