Company Description

Curtis Studio of Dance (CSD) is a multidisciplinary school of dance, established in 1973. It is our goal to provide challenging and progressive dance instruction, and at the same time, to allow the students to enjoy themselves and release inner feelings through dance expression.

Instruction is geared to produce technically sound and injury free dancers, in a caring environment, with emphasis on self-esteem. When a student has been carefully taught the elements of dance, all forms of dance and athletic movement will benefit. At CSD ballet technique is required and/or encouraged for all students, since this disciplined technique includes all the basic elements for physical movement. All teachers at the school have been thoroughly trained in the classical methods of ballet and have enjoyed long and successful performance careers.
